Heart of coal, brain of shit

From THE WASHINGTON POST Thursday, 19 July 2007 ~ Christopher lee

President Bush yesterday rejected entreaties by his Republican allies that he compromise with Democrats on legislation to renew a popular program that provides health coverage to poor children, saying that expanding the program would enlarge the role of the federal government at the expense of private insurance.

The president said he objects on philosophical grounds (as if) to a bipartisan Senate proposal to boost the State Children’s Health Insurance Program by $35 billion over five years. Bush has proposed $5 billion in increased funding and has threatened to veto the Senate compromise and a more costly expansion being contemplated in the House.

“I support the initial intent of the program,” Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post after a factory tour and a discussion on health care with small-business owners in Landover. “My concern is that when you expand eligibility . . . you’re really beginning to open up an avenue for people to switch from private insurance to the government.”

How much more evidence do we need before people wake up to the fact that these bastards are the enemy? How much more bold-faced do they need to be about their evil intentions?

The GOP is about control, greed, malfeseance, self interest and fear. Nothing more. And it’s becoming clearer every day. They don’t even try to hide their villainy any more. How could anyone …ANYONE think that taking away health benefits for fuck’s sake… HEALTH BENEFITS FROM CHILDREN to safeguard the profits of the fucking INSURANCE COMPANIES is not totally, insanely evil?

What mental distortion are we witnessing? Where is the fucking outrage? Outrage from the media? From the depraved, misbegotten religious organizations?

total silence.

Because they are totally on board with this. The big pharma/big insurance owns the media.

Total whacked evil owns the religious organizations and their legions of shithead sheeple.

Sometimes I think I went to bed in 1999 and woke up in an evil, alternate universe from the shithead galaxy.

  1. I hear the outrage. I grew up in conservative orange county and even there people are pissed at the republicans. My parents still live there and after years of watching them vote staight GOP ticket they have switched to voting democratic.
The real issue isn’t that people aren’t pissed off, its that they don’t know what to do and they look around hoping others will do something. People just need to rememebr how to be active.

And yes people are sick of the party of personal responsibility blaming everyone else. And especially sick of the typical ‘oh yeah well clinton…” crap. The freepers and conservative activists with they’re smug arrogance have become as hated as the hippies were for a while.

If you’re REALLY pissed and want to do something now. Give me a call and we can put a huge banner up on a freeway overpass or something.

  2. It’s a daily outrage, isn’t it?
People wonder how they can constantly pull ugly shit out of their asses and not care how they’re perceived, seemingly unconcerned about ramifications, the next election, anything. I think there’s only one answer and it’s very ugly – they’ve already decided to expand their wars, suspend the election and do away with the constitution. It probably will begin soon with another 9/11.
That’s why they couldn’t care less about anything.

  3. In San Bernadino County, where I live, there is IEHP, an insurance program funded by the county, but singles are excluded. The County medical program allows only substandard care (I don’t qualify anyway). Methinks if gov’t is involved, let it be at the lowest level possible CB

  4. Once more proof that we have the worst government that money can buy.
