Rep. Pete Stark (D-Hero)

“I’m just amazed that the Republicans are worried that we can’t pay for insuring an additional 10 million children,” he said. “They sure don’t care about finding $200 billion to fight the illegal war in Iraq. Where are you going to get that money? You are going to tell us lies like you’re telling us today? Is that how you’re going to fund the war? You don’t have money to fund the war or children, but you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement.”  Rep. Pete Stark (D-California)

Oh Mr. Stark, you are my new hero.

Of course, as you can imagine, the repiglicans are about to piss their pants and beat their wives over it. Well..they do that anyway. They’re most upset about his disrespect for president Monkeynuts. As if he deserves any respect. One troglodyte talk show host named Al Rantell last night said “There was a time in this country where a congressman would have been taken out and shot for saying such a thing” Excuse me, but this is America, Mr. Rantell. I don’t know what your shit for a brain remembers, but in this country, nobody is ever or has ever been shot for dissent against the executive. Perhaps he was confused with his fond memories of Nazi Germany? Fascism is what those baboons worship. It’s what they are trying very hard to bring to America.

The fascist repiglick response has been this:

“Our troops in Iraq are fighting against al-Qaeda and other radical jihadists hellbent on killing the people we are sent here to represent. Congressman Stark’s statement dishonors not only the Commander-in-Chief, but the thousands of courageous men and women of America’s armed forces who believe in their mission and are putting their lives on the line for our freedom and security. Congressman Stark should retract his statement and apologize to the House, our Commander-in-Chief, and the families of our soldiers and commanders fighting terror overseas.” John Boehner (R-Ohio)

Fortunately, Stark has shown no signs so far of pulling a Harry Reid and caving with an apology. To the contrary, he issued a statement this morning in response to republigoon screetches for his apology. He said:

“I have nothing but respect for our brave men and women in uniform and wish them the very best,” said Stark. “But I respect neither the Commander-in-Chief who keeps them in harms way nor the chickenhawks in Congress who vote to deny children health care.”

“Our uninsured children in America are fighting cancer, cystic fibrosis and other diseases that take their lives,” continued Stark. “Leader Boehner’s vote against overriding the President’s veto dishonors not only these children and their parents, but also the thousands of courageous men and women who President Bush and Republicans in Congress have kept in harms way. These brave men and women are in Iraq to protect our children – as should Republicans in Congress. Leader Boehner and his Republican colleagues should apologize for their votes and join us to provide health care to 10 million children.”

I was sent an action alert from the pigs at the American Family Fascist Assocoation. It was another Dear Adolph Hitler letter urging us all to email Rep. Stark and tell him how much all good christian fascists resent his remarks and disrespect for president monkeynuts. I thanked them for sending me the Congressmans email and cc’d them in on the email I sent to Congressman Stark.

Here’s my email to Rep. Stark

Dear Congressman Stark,

Your comments yesterday about the disgraceful republican rejection of the poor children as evidenced in the support of Bush’s veto of SCHIP were entirely spot on. It was so wonderful to finally hear someone say what we’re all feeling. Today, you represent the American majority as no one else does. APOLOGIZE TO NO ONE! DO NOT APOLOGIZE! I’m proud of you , Sir

  1. At the cost of this “war”, not only could we afford to provide health insurance to those children needing it. but send them to bloody Harvard too!

  2. Well said rich! Here Here!

  3. CNN did a quick poll on whether Stark should apologize, a typical stupid MSM trick, but the results are very interesting.
